Well it has been some time since I have written and now it is JUly!! We ahd a visit to Melbourne in February to see Heidi and Alex and to coincide with Steve and Milly's Australia trip that was all lovely. The weather wasn't that great a nasty off shore wind blowing on to the beach most days. We waved Steve ad Milly off and returned to NZ. The summer weather was not very warm seemed to have a lot of rain which has continued and really not a lot of warm - thank goodness for unlimited firewood!! The animal population has increased we have Romeo the Ram and Max a long haired Chihuahua. Lara Barbara and Aunty appear to be "in lamb" as one says in the counrty first due about the end of this month. Now that we have the beautiful sheep shed Graham has built they are all keeping warm
Taking the dogs for a walk over to the cross creek landing with Fran and Rosie
Queen's birthday we took Eloise down to Whatarangi parked her at Clive and Linda's place, friend Rosie came down with her dogs Zara and Ella so Max had a wonderful time poor Tui Clives old dog had her peace disrupted but she soon put the little ones into shape and they then deferred to her. The weather was not that good so dining and wining seemed to be the order of the day. Clive has a strict routine which has to be kept to - Smoko at 10am -12pm a drink and lunch the 4pm drinkies where several locals arrive and socialise. There was always someone popping in which is wonderful for Clive. Who I might say is a very good cook and made an amazing Sunday Roast for us all. That takes one back to the old days.
Linda who had not imagined she would stay the whole weekend lasted the distance especially as Graham was pressed into playing bridge in the evenings. We all departed Monday afternoon leaving Clive to have debrief with his mates.
