Winter is on its way out

It seems to have been a long dreary winter punctuated with some nice sunny afternoons then the cold comes down. We were fortunate at Easter to have a visit from Steve Carmen and Millie. We all met in Mangawhai then headed North. Unfortunately there was a cyclone warning and NZwas on full alert this made Millies very nervous. When we looked at the map it was going to come nowhere near us. Goodness knows why we were on full alert this seems to be a new thing in NZ!! First Air BB was dreadful not suitable especially if we thought we were going to be confind to Barracks for any length of time, so as you do when one of your party has plenty of Dosh you move to more suitable accomodation!! Which we did and continued our holiday . The weather I recall was mostly nice. We met up with Meredith and Mike in Monganui had some nights with them.
They departed back to UK from Auckland and we headed down to stay with Mary Mason for a night then on to Duncan and Judys for a night both were enjoyable
